The art society Havering
The Arts Society is a leading national arts charity. It was founded in 1968, to promote the enjoyment of art in all its forms. This includes lectures on subjects ranging from the “Origins of Panto” to “The Lute - the Queen of Instruments”, and can cover subjects as diverse as gardens and street furniture. There could be lectures on painters and musicians with whom we are all very familiar, but do not have an in-depth knowledge of their background influences and style – our lectures will help remedy this. The subjects are varied and interesting with lecturers chosen for their light and informative delivery.
